The title of this Candid album by Bud is inspired by the Charles Schultz Peanuts comic strip and in particular one sequence in which the Charlie Brown character was offered psychiatric counseling at five cents a session when "the doctor is in." Jazz musicians share an affinity with the great laughter-maker so this vibrant session starts with "Dr. Shank" in the chair but by the end of CD time he is "out". in or Out "Dr. Shank" knows what ails US and offers 10 remedies here to lift the spirit. Open your ears and he will do the rest!
