Wunderhorse’s debut album Cub has taken on a life of its own in the 20 months since its release, with sprawling, psychedelic numbers and sharp grunge refrains alike igniting Wunderhorse’s ever-growing audience. Cub’s campaign and the months following have seen the four-piece graduate from playing in basements and pubs to filling Glastonbury’s Woodsies tent and selling out O2 Academy Brixton.
Across the mammoth tour leading up to and following Cub’s release, Slater and his bandmates – guitarist Harry Fowler, drummer Jamie Staples and bassist Peter Woodin – gradually and naturally became a fully-formed band, and left the solo era of Wunderhorse behind.
As their crowds have grown exponentially in both scale and ardency, and Cub’s tracks have reached the status of cultural reference points within the younger contingents of their fanbase, it seems harder than ever to recall a time when frontman Jacob Slater believed that his career was over before his twenties had even begun.
Having burned himself out as the teenage frontman of the much-hyped but ultimately ill-fated punk outfit Dead Pretties, Jacob retired to Cornwall to repair the damage that he had caused himself.
It was whilst working as a surf instructor on the UK’s south western perimeter that Jacob rekindled his love of songwriting: this time spinning introspective, considered compositions which transcended his younger years and went on to form the foundations of Wunderhorse.
The band’s second album ‘Midas’ came out in August 2024 to critical acclaim, charting in the UK 10 Top, featuring in album of the year lists for DORK, Telegraph, Rolling Stone, NME expanding their audiences in Europe, United States, Australia and beyond.

After quietly amassing a grassroots fanbase through the release of his 2013 debut Nostalgic 64 and 2015 double EP 32 Zel/Planet Shrooms, Carol City, FL's Denzel Curry stopped flying under the radar with the release of this full-length, Imperial. Containing references to his love of visual art -- from manga to the stylings of globe-trotting art collective Metro Zu -- with his story telling abilities informed by growing up in the streets of Carol City, Imperial placed him in a category by himself as underground rap's most authentic and ready-to-blow up voice.
Imperial was both his finest work to date and his best received. The brief, breathless album showcases his near-peerless technical skill along with a newfound maturity in his songwriting. “I was going through a dark time,” Curry says now of the time that birthed Imperial. So he challenged himself to find a radical level of transparency. “The whole theme of that tape is just being honest--exposing myself before anybody else does, talking about my past, talking about where I’m heading to.”
Warren Haynes has been almost ubiquitous since he joined the Allman Brothers Band. Man in Motion is Haynes' first conscious effort to fully indulge his love for this music, and his first solo record with backing musicians since 1993. Co-produced with Gordie Johnson, Man in Motion boasts a stellar cast: George Porter, Jr. on bass, Ivan Neville on organ, clavinet, and backing vocals, Ian McLagan on Wurlitzer and piano, drummer Raymond Weber, tenor saxophonist Ron Holloway, and backing vocalist Ruthie Foster. This is a limited edition vinyl reissue of his Stax Records debut.
Life Under The Sun strips back a selection of songs from Militarie Gun’s breakout debut album Life Under The Gun, putting Ian Shelton’s intensely personal songwriting center stage. Along with the previously shared singles "Never Fucked Up Twice" featuring Bully's Alicia Bognanno and "Very High (Under The Sun)," the EP includes the new single "My Friends Are Having A Hard Time" featuring Manchester Orchestra. Additionally, Life Under The Sun features Mannequin Pussy on a new version of "Will Logic" and include a cover of the NOFX track "Whoops I OD'd."
Thelonious Monk’s Brilliant Corners is a landmark title in the pianist’s celebrated catalog, the 1957 album not only introduces several Monk originals, but also features an all-star line-up of talent, including Sonny Rollins, Max Roach, and Paul Chambers. This Small Batch pressing is limited to just 4,000 copies worldwide.
As with all albums in the series, Brilliant Corners features lacquers cut from the original tapes (AAA) by Bernie Grundman and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI using Neotech’s VR900 compound. This one-step lacquer process (as opposed to the standard three-step process) allows for the utmost level of musical detail, clarity, and dynamics while reducing the amount of surface noise on the record. The limited nature of these pressings guarantees that each record is a true representation of the original lacquer and is as close as the listener can get to the original recording.
Each copy is individually numbered and encased in a foil-stamped, linen-wrapped slipcase featuring an acrylic inset of the original artwork. The vinyl disc – extractable through a unique, frictionless ribbon pull tab – is housed in a reproduction of the album’s original tip-on jacket from Riverside Records and protected by an archival-quality, anti-static, non-scratching inner sleeve. New liner notes from the GRAMMY® Award-winning music historian, journalist, and producer, Ashley Kahn complete the package.
Released in April 1957, Brilliant Corners was transformative for Monk’s career, delivering him a major comeback. The album was met with wide acclaim, including from DownBeat’s Nat Hentoff, who proclaimed it “Riverside’s most important modern jazz LP to date.” In 2003, the album was among the first 50 recordings chosen for the Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry, while over the decades, Brilliant Corners has ranked regularly as an essential jazz title.
The king of the Latin-American dance field is Tito Puente. Once again, the diminutive maestro demonstrates his dominance with this new recording of popular Latin-American rhythms. In this exciting outing, Tito Puente and his orchestra lay down a driving irresistible beat that moves from beginning to end in a pulsating performance. Tito Puente and his orchestra create an added appeal with their ensemble singing which lends an authenticity to the music. Their vocal performance like everything else sparkles with vitality.
Features:
• First vinyl reissue of this seminal recording.
• Featured hit “Oye Cómo Va” with Johnny Pacheco on flute.
• ALL-ANALOG mastering from original tapes.
• Pressed on 180-gram vinyl.
