Suki Waterhouse’s music sounds like a collage of her inspirations, experiences, and emotions stitched together by honeyed vocal delivery, bright-eyed melodies, and evocative storytelling. It doubles as a mirror image of her life as a consummate creative, artist, actress, model, and mother, yet it also breaks the glass to unveil raw truth. She leans on an ever-evolving sonic palette to convey what she’s feeling—whether it be folky Americana, nineties alternative, turn-of-the-century indie, or handcrafted otherworldly pop. You’ll hear Suki’s longing in a swooning chorus, fearlessness in a crunchy chord, elation in a danceable waltz, and wonder in a soft coo befitting of a lullaby. She faithfully followed a lifelong passion for music to her 2022 full-length debut, I Can’t Let Go. Adorned by “Moves” and “Melrose Meltdown,” it incited widespread critical applause from Variety, Nylon, NME, The Line of Best Fit, and more. Between headlining shows and touring with Father John Misty, “Good Looking” surged online, generating nearly a billion streams, going RIAA platinum, and paving the way for theMilk Teeth EP. Simultaneously, she absorbed inspiration from a season of change earmarked by unforgettable moments a la gracing the stage of Lollapalooza 2023, performing on multiple continents, becoming a mom, and closing out the Gobi Tent at Coachella in 2024. Everything just set the stage for the gold-certified songstress to assert herself as a versatile, vibrant, and vital presence on her 2024 double-LP, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin.
This Country Music Thing is Josh Turner's 10th studio album and first new music since his 2017 album, Deep South. Produced by Kenny Greenberg, it features 11 tracks - including the new single, "Heatin' Things Up," which was released in April. Josh will remain on tour throughout the rest of 2024 previewing songs from his new album.
Including the new single, “The Beginning,” The Forest Is The Path is an album rooted in reflection, introspection and interrogation. One of its key building blocks, says Gary Lightbody, was the idea of love from a distance, “I haven’t been in a relationship for a very long time, 10 years or more, so love from a distance to me meant the way a relationship sits in your memory from a distance of, say, 10 years. That’s not something I’d previously thought about as a way to write about love. So, it’s like, when you’re in love, you’re standing in the lobby of the Empire State Building. When you’ve broken up with that person, you’re out in the street. You can still see the building, but you’re not in there anymore. And when it’s 10 years later, now you’re standing in Brooklyn looking at the Manhattan skyline.”
Ghostface is ready to "Set The Tone" with his new album, featuring a blend of tracks catering to both male and female audiences. Expect a mix of hard-hitting New York rap and melodic, laid-back records. Additionally, Ghostface has collaborated with hip-hop heavyweights such as Nas, Kanye West, Ja Rule, and many others.
Multi-platinum indie pop artist Dayglow reveals his new self-titled project and celebrates the official announcement by dropping his latest single “Cocoon.” DAYGLOW embodies exactly who Sloan Struble is as an artist and creative and acts as a proper introduction into the bright and colorful Dayglow world. The 10-track debut record was solely written, performed, recorded, produced, and mixed by Struble himself in his Malibu home studio. He opens up and shares, “When I was 18 years old, I made my mixtape Fuzzybrain. I was a pretty introverted kid from a reasonably small town in Texas, so I didn’t expect much to happen ‘commercially’ for the record—I just made it for my own enjoyment, really. As a fan of the 2010’s indie music scene (MGMT, The Strokes, Phoenix, Passion Pit, etc.), I wanted to see what kind of album I could make completely alone in my bedroom. So, out of the quest to make something I loved, Dayglow was born. It was a clear reflection of myself at that time. It was pure, naive, goofy, guitar-driven indie-pop made to be played live by a 5-piece band (that I didn’t even have yet).”
Allah-Las met while working at Amoeba Music, a key destination for music lovers in Los Angeles. While this experience helped shape their sensibility, their sound was forged in an underground basement where they came together as a band. They began gigging in Los Angeles in 2008, refining their live performance, and finally released their first 7” single Catamaran / Long Journey in 2011. In 2012, they began their relationship with Innovative Leisure, releasing their first self-titled album, Allah-Las, anchored by their second single Tell Me (What’s On Your Mind) / Sacred Sands. The release was met with critical acclaim and the band toured extensively in the States and abroad before going back into the studio to record their follow-up. Allah-Las’ second album, Worship The Sun, expands on the sound established by their maiden effort, honing their fusion of West Coast garage rock and roll, Latin percussion and electric folk. As richly textured and timeless as a Southern California beach break, the songs are evocative of Los Angeles’ storied past. Beatniks, artists, surfers, nomads. Remnants of a bygone Sunset Strip. Golden tans and cosmic sunsets. One can feel the warmth of the sun, but the band deftly avoids the kitsch so often indulged by lovers of these things. Hints of Byrds, Love, Felt, and those who follow are threaded into the tapestry.
Zolita’s forthcoming sophomore album, Queen of Hearts, is built around a pair of equally ambitious themes. The first offers a bold celebration of queer love, joy and acceptance— the other offers a more personal, introspective meditation on her past relationships. Queen of Hearts follow’s Zolita’s 2023 Falling Out / Falling In EP and features the singles “Bloodstream,” “Small Town Scandal,” and “All Over Again.” Available for pre-order now on vinyl.
After 30 years of playing music professionally, Willie Watson is releasing his debut album. A founding member of Old Crow Medicine Show, and a staple on the folk and americana circuit - Willie is no stranger to the stage and to audiences. But this is his first album of original music, aptly self titled, and a bold and confident statement in both song mastery and sonics. This record is about beating the devil. Willie didn't make any specific pact with him, but he had been tangled up with him his whole life. This album is about finding himself free of that devil, and learning to love himself again. It is about no longer leaning on old sounds and old folk singers and the music they made, and instead about learning to express himself freely and without limits. The result is a masterpiece.

Last Night Blues is Lightnin’ Hopkins’ 1961 album, featuring Sonny Terry. The second of three album collaborations, Last Night Blues showcases Hopkins’ and Terry’s different yet complementary styles to create a well-rounded listening experience. Marcin effortlessly blends melody, harmony, and hand-drum-style percussion across a genre-fluid collection of original compositions and covers on Dragon in Harmony, his highly anticipated full-length debut album for Sony Music Masterworks. Opening with a set of cleverly named originals "Guitar Is Dead" and "I Killed It," Marcin makes a daringly assertive statement about the state of the guitar and his personal journey as an artist. It's a theme that extends to the album's collaborators, with Marcin enlisting the talents of Polyphia's Tim Henson on "Classical Dragon" and Ichika Nito on "I Don't Write About Girls" as featured guitarists, turning Dragon in Harmony into a definitive manifesto for a new generation of guitar heroes. Elsewhere, Marcin taps chart-topping rockers Portugal. The Man for the alt radio-ready hit "When the Light Goes" and indie-pop songstress Delaney Bailey for the neo-soul-infused ballad "Allergies." Produced alongside Dan Book (blink-182, Shania Twain, Britney Spears), Dragon in Harmony also features a range of covers: Justin Timberlake, Sade and Nirvana share album space with Mozart, Debussy, and Miles Davis/Bill Evans, while Book's studio ingenuity gives Marcin's chops the heart-pounding impact of chart-topping alt-pop. The resulting 14-track collection is not just a showcase of Marcin's technical prowess, but also of his innate ability to translate that virtuosity into an enjoyable, long-form artistic statement about his career and the instrument that started it all.
Very few bands manage to last decades, and for the ones that do, it’s often easy to settle down and get a little too comfortable. But there’s nothing comfortable about Devourer, the explosive new album from Cursive. The iconic Omaha group is known for their intensity, ambition, and execution, and has spent 30 years creating a bold discography that’s defined as much by its cathartic sound as its weighty, challenging lyrical themes. And Devourer is as daring as ever. Full of intense and incisive songs, the album proves exactly why Cursive have been so influential and enduring–and why they remain so vital today. In the years since their 1995 formation, Cursive developed into one of the most important groups to emerge from the late-’90s/early ‘00s moment when the lines between indie rock and post-hard-core began blurring into something altogether new. Albums like Domestica (2000) and The Ugly Organ (2003) became essential touchstones whose echoes can still be heard in new bands today. Devourer, as an expansive new double-album, examines humanity’s bottomless capacity for consumption through a series of songs that act like vignettes, driven by frontman Tim Kasher’s never-end-ing appetite for both taking in and creating art. “I am obsessive about consuming the arts,” he explains. “Music, film, literature. I’ve come to recognize that I devour all of these art forms then, in turn, create my own versions of these things and spew them out onto the world. It’s positive; you’re part of an ecosystem. But I quickly recognized that the term, ‘Devourer,’ may also embody something gnarly, sinister.” Fans have come to expect such heady topics from Cursive, but Devourer sets a new standard. While Cursive’s music hasn’t gotten any more comfortable, perhaps its being released into a world that’s at least a little more shaped in their image. Devourer sounds urgent and fresh, the work of a band still experimenting, still hungering to find new creative heights. On album highlight “Consumers,” the protagonist bemoans, “I saw ourn future and I want to go back.” But Cursive are only moving forward.
A dynamic performer and prodigious talent, Goldsmith developed this new album with celebrated creators such as Dan Wilson (Taylor Swift, Adele), Rick Nowels (Lana Del Rey), and Alex Hope (Troye Sivan, Alec Benjamin) to name a few. Spanning heartbreak rockers, coming-of-age anthems, first love swooners, and more, The Start of Something Beautiful highlights Goldsmith's once-in-a-generation musicianship and songwriting as the 18-year-old has writing credits on every track and produced nearly half the record. Highlighted as a noteworthy emerging artist by The Hollywood Reporter, the multi-instrumentalist also plays guitar, piano, lap steel, organ, mellotron, and bass throughout the project.
LA-based Australian producer Hayden James shares his third studio album, We Could Be Love. Showcasing James' songwriting and producing range, the album traverses euphoric pop dance anthems to deep club tracks, collaborating with Izzy Bizu, Karen Harding, SHELLS, AR/CO, Kormak and more. James' music has soundtracked moments with friends around the world for the past decade, garnering over half a billion streams, with his newest offering, We Could Be Love is set to do the same. Available on milky clear vinyl.
Some band names take on a talismanic quality, revealing mystical depths the musicians may never have intended. For Gardens & Villa, the name became downright prophetic. The quartet of Chris Lynch, Adam Rasmussen, Shane McKillop, and Dustin Ineman, took their moniker from Villa Avenue, where they first shared a home - and a garden - in Santa Barbara, California. Now, a decade and a half later, the band is set to release their fifth album, Ultra Terrestrial, on September 13 2024. The record finds Gardens & Villa returning to the roots of their namesake, highlighting the expansive growth they've weathered, and the familial bonds they've forged over their 15 years together.
Requiem is the stunning new album from Keshi. Made in Houston, LA, New York, and Tokyo, these 13 songs showcase Keshi's incredible skills as a writer, producer and performer, and fulfil his vision to make an album that is made to be performed in arenas.
Expanding upon his critically acclaimed MAX comedy special of the same name, John Early’s long-awaited first comedy album Now More Than Ever features four brand new cover songs from John Early and The Lemon Squares, along with an exclusive, album-only set from Early’s beloved alter ego, Vicky with a ‘V.’ Early’s giddy musings on contemporary life are intercut with explosive song covers from Britney to Neil Young, backed by his live band The Lemon Squares. This album is an attempt, in all its silliness, to get serious. Now More Than Ever is Early’s sincere and abundant offering back to the culture of thoughtful critique, heartfelt music, and infectious joy, firmly cementing his place as the godfather of millennial alt-comedy.

"Hello Mary, a three-woman New York City band, whipsaws through a raucous embrace of uncertainty in '0%.' It peaks with the drummer and singer Stella Wave screaming, 'I don’t know! I don’t know!' But within less than three minutes the track also jumps amid spindly indie-rock guitar chords, a bruising one-note bass riff and an unexpected dip into folky picking joined by a plinking vibraphone — all while making a waltz sound feral." - The New York Times "distorted guitars and pulsating punky drums, dipping further into the grunge pool they waded in on Hello Mary. “0%” is a rage-fueled release about an unwanted presence making themselves within reach, and Hello Mary are kicking off their new era with a fiery howl. I couldn’t be more stoked to see where they’re headed next." - Paste Magazine “The return of Hello Mary is less a song, and more like an artful succession of moods – exquisitely crafted and bound together with playfulness and carnage.” - So Young
Los Angeles band and art collective julie announces their highly-awaited debut album my anti-aircraft friend. Julie exploded onto the map in 2020 with their single "flutter," which has racked up millions of streams since it's release. The band's genesis, however, goes back to the late 2010s when vocalist and guitarist Keyan Pourzand and drummer Dillon Lee were joined by vocalist and bassist Alexandria Elizabeth. Holding a mutual affinity towards shadowy and adventurous music, the trio played shows with local acts around Orange County in high school before relocating to Los Angeles in 2019 for design school, where they began writing the songs that would make up their impending debut album my anti-aircraft friend. In 2021, julie released their EP pushing daisies, which includes the tracks "skipping tiles" and "april's-bloom" and proceeded their 2022 double single "pg.4 picture of three hedges" / "through your window." my anti-aircraft friend is a bold leap, both showcasing a louder, more assured band, while also attaining a core sound the band had been chasing all along. After all those years tinkering and refining their sound, julie's forthcoming debut album is the work of people who have become steeped in alternative music's history, learned how it works within their own musical sensibilities, and now use it to warp conventions and turn tropes on their head. Additionally, with each member of the band a multidisciplinary artist - Pourzand does sculpture work and Brady writes and paints, while Lee is also a painter as well as illustrator - the band deliberates and conceives every element of their releases, not just the music but the art and packaging, all the way down to what instruments they play onstage. For listeners who came of age amidst global pandemics, tumultuous political climates, and a host of looming natural and social crises, the sound of a band like julie could equally be a cathartic escape, or a shelter in which to locate a better sense of self-acceptance in a precarious world.
Hippo Campus' singer Jake Luppen had been listening to the band's work as they rolled around the country, trying to tease out how much work remained. All of it, he soon decided. Obfuscated by the need to sound sophisticated and the overwhelming ambition to make the best Hippo Campus LP ever, a deeper and more profound record that reflected how their lives were changing. But Luppen and all of Hippo Campus decided they didn't actually like what they were making. So they called an audible. They were going to start over. And three months later, the four-member core of Hippo Campus rendezvoused with longtime collaborator Caleb Wright and producer Brad Cook at Sonic Ranch, a playground-like studio complex on the Texas border. They gave themselves 10 days to cut the tracks they liked best, to make something to which they could commit at last. Less than two weeks later, they emerged with what they'd given themselves half a decade to make-Flood, or the best album Hippo Campus has ever made. The sentiments on Flood are raw, real, and unguarded, a testament to Hippo Campus dropping preconceptions of how they had to sound after so many failed attempts to re-record these songs. They wiped the slate clean, starting over without beliefs about what Hippo Campus or this record needed to be. Still, sophistication lurks in subtle key and tempo changes, in the almost innate shifts that a band of longtime best friends can tap after so much time spent helping to shape one another's musical language. Flood doesn't need to tell you it's important or interesting; it simply is, just by virtue of how it's written, built, and rendered, a map of what it's like to feel everything at once. This rebirth is accompanied by a crucial career shift for Hippo Campus, too, as they exit the traditional label system to issue LP4 via Psychic Hotline, a truly independent imprint run by peers and pals. If you're working to let go of expectations, why not jettison them all? There's a bravery to that, and you can hear it's revivifying spirit in every second of LP4.Early into the endlessly propulsive "Paranoid," where stunted acoustic strums undergird an inescapable jangle, Luppen asks an existential question: "Is there something waiting out there for us at the finish line?" For the next three minutes, the band cycles with him through his woes, from the title's overwhelming worry to notions of dislocation and loneliness. (Also, is there any other refrain ever that manages to make the phrase "so god-damned fucking" sound so catchy and natural?) But in the final verse, with his voice breaking through a scrim of distortion, he stumbles upon a new credo: "Wait, I wanna give this life all that I have in me." That is precisely what Hippo Campus have done with Flood after realizing it doesn't take a lifetime-or, well, five years-to do just that.

Joan As Police Womans's 12th studio album, Lemons, Limes, and Orchids is a crowning showcase of her voice in all it's metamorphic splendour. "I was ready to make an album that truly featured my voice. The basics were recorded like they used to be- with me singing live along with the band. My good friend told me this is the sexiest album I've ever made. Honestly, I think she's right." The record is a nocturne about love and loss - what else is there? - and a reckoning with our collective disorientation, part hymn to holding on and part benediction of letting go. Joan has toured the globe, performing in dive bars and symphony halls, at independent music festivals and on the BBC, and has collaborated with a kaleidoscope of luminaries, including Lou Reed, Rufus Wainwright, Tony Allen, Damon Albarn, John Cale, Laurie Anderson, Sufjan Stevens, Anohni, Beck, Meshell Ndegeocello, Toshi Reagon, David Byrne, and Daniel Johnston. Five Dice, All Threes is a record of uncommon intensity and tenderness, communal exorcism and personal excavation. These are, of course, qualitiesthat fans have come to expect from Bright Eyes, nearly three decades intotheir career. The tight-knit band of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and NateWalcott tends to operate in distinct sweeping movements: each unique in it'ssound and story but unified by a sense of ambition and ever-growingemotional stakes. Even with this rich history behind them, these new songsexude a visceral thrill like nothing they have attempted before. Oberst hasalways sung in a voice that conveys a sense of life-or-death gravity. At timesthroughout Five Dice, All Threes, you may feel worried for him; other times, hemay seem like the only one with the clarity to get us out of this mess.On the self-produced album, Bright Eyes embrace the elusive quality thathas made them so enduring and influential across generations and genres, bringing their homespun sound from an Omaha bedroom to devotedaudiences around the world. In Oberst's songwriting lies a promise that ourloneliest thoughts and feelings can take on grander shapes when passedbetween friends, blasted through speakers, or shouted among crowds. Thistime around, the band invites such like-minded voices onto the record withthem, with notable guest appearances from Cat Power ("All Threes"), TheNational's Matt Berninger ("The Time I Have Left"), and Alex Levine, thefrontman of the New York punk band The So So Glos, who co-wrote severalsongs and shares a climactic verse in the surging "Rainbow Overpass."When they hit the studio with Oberst's longtime bandmates-the multiinstrumentalist and producer Mike Mogis, the keyboardist and arranger NateWalcott-they opted for a fast-paced approach that drew inspiration fromformative influences like The Replacements and Frank Black. They soughttextures that burst from the mix like gnarly splashes of paint on a blankcanvas; they opted for first takes and spontaneous decisions. Five Dice, AllThrees thrashes and squirms and resists classification. In the brilliant expanseof "El Capitan," they blend a galloping rhythm you might find in a Johnny Cashstandard with a swell of funereal horns, shouted vocals, and lyrics that readlike a sobering farewell between twin souls. "So they're burning you an effigy,"Oberst sings. "Well, that happens to me all the time!"For every striking turn in his lyrics, the band knows just how tocomplement him. On one level, Five Dice, All Threes may be the most funalbum in the Bright Eyes catalog, filled with singalong hooks and buzzingperformances. And yet, sitting alongside these adrenalized rockers that soundbeamed in directly from the garage, you will find contemplative, psychedelicmaterial like the heartbreaking "Tiny Suicides" and "All Threes," a song whosejazzy piano solo and free-associative lyrics feel totally unprecedented in theBright Eyes catalog. As per usual, the music comes loaded with subtext that invites deeplistening-the signature touch of a band who has always honored the album asit's own exalted work of art. In the game of threes, the titular move wouldindicate a perfect roll. Perfection, however, means something different in theworld of Bright Eyes, where our flaws are what grants us authority and findingmeaning is only possible if we bear witness to the dark, winding journey toget there. On Five Dice, All Threes, Bright Eyes embrace these beliefs withmusic that feels thrillingly alive, as if we were all in the room with them, shouting along and gaining the strength to move forward together. It doesn'tjust sound like classic Bright Eyes. It sounds like their future, too.
Limited blue colored vinyl LP pressing. 2024 release, the first album in 17 years by the French Spanish singer/songwriter/musician and former frontman for Mano Negra.
The long-awaited reunion show!
Formed in London in 1976, The Damned became one of the most groundbreaking and influential bands coming out of the 70s British punk rock scene. Their debut single “New Rose” (1976) is considered the first punk single to be ever released in the UK.
Throughout their impressive 45+ year career (and counting), The Damned have experimented with various musical styles, incorporating elements of gothic rock, psychedelia, and new wave into their sound.
In October 2020, over 40 years after the founding members parted ways, The Damned announced a series of reunion shows with the original line-up consisting of Dave Vanian (vocals), Brian James (guitar), Captain Sensible (bass), and Rat Scabies (drums). However, due to the pandemic, they were forced to postpone the shows until 2022.
November 3rd, 2022, saw the band performing at the fully packed O2 Apollo in Manchester, UK, delivering an energetic 21-song set drawn from the first two albums, the 1977’s “Damned Damned Damned” and “Music for Pleasure”, the only albums to feature the four founding members. This legendary reunion show is captured on the worldwide release “AD 2022 – Live In Manchester” which perfectly portrays the unique magic around The Damned.
Big Crown Records is proud to present Dave Guy's debut album Ruby. Having lent his talents both on stage and in the studio to artists like Amy Winehouse, Lizzo, Pharrell, and Sharon Jones to currently playing every night on The Tonight Show as a member of The Roots, Dave steps out on his own with a jazz record that is both unique and modern. Ruby mixes his musical influences with the energies of the city that raised him, capturing different moods and inviting the listener into the world as Dave Guy sees and feels it. Recorded in Queens at The Legendary Diamond Mine, the album is produced by Homer Steinweiss and Nick Movshon and features musical contributions from Leon Michels, Marco Benevento, Claire Cottrill, and more. Ruby instantly sits with the classics as an album that is fully realized and not simply a collection of songs. Lead single "7th Heaven" opens the album with an anthemic energy as Dave's horn lines soar over thundering drums, ethereal vocals, and dancing piano. Keeping the energy high, "Footwork" is a Latin inspired number that is sure to soundtrack many a dance floor from SoHo to Harlem. The synth intro of "Pinky Ring" cleanses your palate for the mood shift when the track drops. Deep bass tones underline the impeccable drumming and Dave effortlessly finds the pocket wasting no notes as the verses and choruses trade off. The record leans into spiritual jazz vibes on "Diamond Encore" with a dark and deep almost "Axelrodish" rhythm track then picks the energy back up with the stomper "Still Standing". "Dave Wants You" has a bop all it's own with an unorthodox drum pattern that Dave anchors with his trumpet hits. The otherworldly arrangement of "Drony Boy" puts the production on a pedestal. The first intro almost serves as an intermission on the album while the second intro sets up the neck snapping track that is about to drop. A menacing guitar signals the builds and the whole thing is juxtaposed by Dave's beautiful trumpet riffs. "Quesodillas" & "Green Door" begin the autumn of the album with their mellow & intimate energy and "Ruby's Rubies", the album's closer is the perfect ending to the journey.
Lutalo's highly visceral folk goes electric on 'The Academy,' the Vermont multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer's debut LP. On 'The Academy,' Lutalo embraces a literary approach to self-referential songwriting, turning memories from their adolescence into impressionistic folk and rock compositions that are equal parts searing and vulnerable. With their unique baritone and finesse for lyrical world building, Lutalo cuts to the bone-while only just beginning to reveal the depth of their artistry and vision.
GRAMMY-nominated trio Midland return with Barely Blue, an 8-song collection exploring the tides of loneliness and the stoicism of holding one's own while imbuing an unparalleled sense of vulnerability that breaks down the facade of masculinity and honors the spirit of loving, losing and moving on. Lead singer/guitarist Mark Wystrach, bassist/vocalist Cameron Duddy and guitarist/vocalist Jess Carson lean into a space where lonely is acknowledged, life goes on and steel guitars are what binds it all together.
Limited cream colored vinyl LP pressing. 2024 release. Thurston returns with his ninth and best solo album Flow Critical Lucidity released via Daydream Library Series. Some of the songs were written and arranged in Europe and the United Kingdom and include lyrical references to their environments and inspired by nature, lucid dreaming, modern dance and Isadora Duncan. The album was arranged at La Becque in Switzerland and recorded at Total Refreshment Studios in London in 2022, and mixed at Hermitage Studios in London with Margo Broom in 2023. Flow Critical Lucidity comes from a lyric in the single 'Sans Limites' and the album sleeve cover art features Jamie Nares' 'Samurai Walkman' - a helmet befitted with tuning forks. Jamie Nares (born in Great Britain) is a life long friend of Thurston Moore from his New York No Wave days and the two have often collaborated in art and music.
Once there was a dream. And once upon a time - many, many moons ago - there was an enchanting summery twilight - a night full of wishes - on the rocky shores of a North Karelian island. There and then, under the luminous sky and by the crackling campfire, the magic was refined: beautiful acoustic melodies and serene chords began to shine with shooting stars. No difficulty has been able to stop them ever since as they have wandered the path of the elves, gazed at the stars, recited the poems of dead boys, slayed dreamers and wandered the meadows of heaven - just to name a few twists and turns along the fascinating journey. They were certainly there - and they are still here. They are the Finnish / Dutch / British troupe NIGHTWISH - one of the most fascinating rock bands of the last decades, whose enigmatic paths have proceeded from acoustic passages to symphonic heavy metal and from catchy folk to progressive majesty. If there is one trait the band has year after year, it might be this: expect something familiar but also expect the unexpected. NIGHTWISH has indeed broken all kinds of boundaries - never deliberately, but perfectly naturally. Now guess what? NIGHTWISH's new studio album "Yesterwynde" - the band's tenth overall - is no exception to the rule. There's a fascinating, but inexplicable feeling that NIGHTWISH has once again been able to find unprecedented nuances, spices and perspectives in their new works - exactly: after a career of nine classic albums. "Yesterwynde" is an experience that takes time to digest. The gravid ingredients of the songs are easily recognizable, but beneath the surface lies a large number of intriguing details and features. The lyrics of "Yesterwynde" deal with large-sized universal themes: memories, mortality, humanism, time and much more. The new album is the conclusion of the trilogy - textually it follows in the footsteps of it's predecessors "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" and "Human. : II: Nature" while at the same time, "Yesterwynde" is the band's most lyrically driven album. And what does the term 'yesterwynde' mean? It describes a feeling that cannot be found in any human language. That's why Nightwish had to invent a whole new word. Formed in 1996 and working with Nuclear Blast since the release of their highly lauded 2004 album "Once", NIGHTWISH have gained international fame and success selling more than ten million records and receiving more than 60 gold and platinum awards, with seven No #1 albums and thirteen No #1 singles to date. In October 2018, NIGHTWISH was inducted into the Tähtikatu - Walk of Fame Finland, becoming the honorary gallery's eleventh member. 2020 saw the release of the band's last studio record, "Human. : II: Nature". that crowned the band's discography with another No #1 success in Finland and Germany as well several other impressive chart entries worldwide. White double LP, Gatefold, 16 pg booklet
Vinyl LP pressing. Neon Trees follows up their latest release "Favorite Daze" with "Losing My Head," the second single off their upcoming album Sink Your Teeth. As the first album from the band since 2020's I Can Feel You Forgetting Me, Sink Your Teeth offers an opportunity for longtime fans to return and for new fans to discover the Provo, Utah band for the first time. It also evokes a sense of bite and rawness in the music and lyrics that is compellingly relatable. For frontman, Tyler Glenn, the songs reflect a state of mind felt by many during the pandemic, but it's not necessarily specific to the past few years. "Losing My Head," written in the midst of 2020's uncertainty, is about finding yourself again through the chaos. It acknowledges that standing on the edge, the brink of self-discovery, can actually make you feel more alive. This is a sentiment that Tyler feels " is critically reverberating in a lot of the culture right now."
Vinyl LP pressing. Nonpareils, aka Aaron Hemphill, presents his second studio album, Rhetoric & Terror. The album follows 2018's Scented Pictures, and finds the Berlin-based artist - previously known as co-founder and co-songwriter of Liars - compelled to write more structured music, with specific parts and intentions that allude to visual imagery and emotional states. No stranger to reinventing his approach towards composition, Rhetoric & Terror feels like we are, perhaps for the first time, opening a doorway into Hemphill's personal life, as well as his disparate sonic influences, wide-ranging journeys through philosophy, and through that, find him reflecting on his own role as an artist. The album features his wife Angelika Kaswalder on vocals throughout, plus multi-instrumentalist Morgan Henderson (a longtime friend since Henderson's time in the post-hardcore band The Blood Brothers) adding woodwinds and additional arrangement on 'Unscripting With The Snake And The Swan.' Rhetoric & Terror, despite it's intimidating name, is welcoming and playful, even during it's most intense moments.
SVR recording artist Kate Pierson will release her second solo album in 2024. The album includes a writing and performance collaboration with pop star Sia on the song "Every Day Is Halloween." Kate is an American singer, lyricist, and founding member of the B-52s. She has also collaborated with many other artists including the Ramones, Iggy Pop and R.E.M.
Double vinyl LP pressing housed in gatefold jacket. "LIVE IN LONDON" was recorded in October 2022 at a sold out O2 Forum Kentish Town AND filmed in glorious 4K video. The concert features Skid Row's biggest hits including "18 and Life" and "Monkey Business" as well as successes like "Time Bomb" and "Tear It Down" from earMUSIC's first release with the band, "The Gang's All Here." This tour and this show received rave reviews, in no small part due to the band at the top of their form and singer Erik Grönwall's massive voice and stage presence. Unfortunately, Erik has now left the band for health reasons, making this a one-of-a-kind, not-to-be-repeated collector's item for all Skid Row fans old and new... and Skid Row's first official live album in a 35+ year career.
"Is the third time always a charm?" Mitchell Tenpenny vulnerably wonders on his song "The 3rd," the title track and cornerstone of his upcoming third studio album. The husky-voiced, tenderhearted chart-topper is the third James Mitchell Tenpenny in his family and feels the weight of the responsibility that comes with that history. Is he living up to his potential? Is he making his family proud? What happens to the name if he doesn't have a son? The song is a relatable gut punch for anyone concerned with meeting familial expectations - it's unflinching sincerity the unbreakable tie that binds the album. - Mitchell's vision for the The 3rd is a testament to his personal growth and artistic evolution. No longer playing games, he has crafted an album that resonates with his own experiences and emotions. This honest and empathetic collection not only showcases his maturity as a man, singer, songwriter, and storyteller but also invites listeners to join him on his creative journey through life and music. - An eclectic mix of songs, styles and genres that are each meaningful and representative of the singer, The 3rd is designed to offer something for everyone. Mitchell worked with the preciseness of an artistic surgeon while choosing songs and sequencing, even opting to cover The Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris," the first song he learned to play on guitar. Mitchell's distinct voice glides through uptempo tracks laced with synth, anchored with loops and driven by banjo then turns convicted and passionate, soaring with hard-driving guitar solos and wailing through heartbreaking choruses. - The 3rd is both his story - and a made-up narrative. Stitching each genre, style, and story so seamlessly together is a musical triumph for himself and his fans, showcasing the courage and unparalleled artistry of James Mitchell Tenpenny.

Paul McCartney - "McCartney" / Released in 1970, a month before The Beatles' swansong Let It Be, McCartney was Paul's first solo album. SHM-CD (Super High Material) format featuring more clarity, depth and definition of sound. Includes booklet with Japanese translations of the lyrics. Limited Edition.

SHM-CD (Super High Material) format featuring more clarity, depth and definition of sound. Includes booklet with Japanese translations of the lyrics. Limited Edition.
Paul McCartney & Wings - "Wild Life" / Limited Edition; Like many debut albums, Wings' Wild Life wasn't a real reflection of what was to come when it was released in 1971 - it's guiding ethos being Paul's intention to record the entire piece quickly. Taking just two weeks, Wild Life was about spontaneity. The opening track, "Mumbo," was recorded in one take. 2018 remaster. SHM-CD (Super High Material) format featuring more clarity, depth and definition of sound. Includes 18-page booklet with Japanese translations of the lyrics. Limited Edition.
Paul McCartney & Wings - "Band On The Run" / Limited Edition; Band on the Run, the third studio album by Paul McCartney & Wings - complete with it's famous celebrity-packed cover art - proved a triumph for Paul, Linda and Denny Laine. Limited Edition.
Paul McCartney & Wings - "Red Rose Speedway" / Limited Edition; With the addition of Irish guitarist Henry McCullough, Wings plugged away on their second album, Red Rose Speedway, through most of 1972 - a year in which they issued no album (a first for Paul since the Beatles' debut). By December, they had accumulated a vast number of songs, though the idea of releasing a double album was eventually rejected. Released in 1973, it includes the #1 single, "My Love." 2018 remaster. SHM-CD (Super High Material) format featuring more clarity, depth and definition of sound. Includes 6-page booklet with Japanese translations of the lyrics. Limited Edition.

On Five Dice, All Threes, Bright Eyes embrace these beliefs withmusic that feels thrillingly alive, as if we were all in the room with them, shouting along and gaining the strength to move forward together.

My wife and I went through that journey during college, and I know a lot of people out there have too.” During his career Luke has performed for more than 14 million fans inclusive of his numerous headline tours, “Crash My Playa,” “Luke Bryan: VEGAS” and “Farm Tour.”

Maxïmo Park tomorrow announce their eighth studio album, Stream Of Life for release on September 27th via Lower Third. The road to Stream of Life saw the band link up once again with Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective), Grammy-winning producer of 2021’s near-chart-topping, pandemic-era tour de force Nature Always Wins, and as a result it marks the first time they have all been together in a studio to make an album since 2016. It finds the band in perhaps the most reflective state they’ve been in. Lead singer Paul Smith, this most lit-pop of lyric writers, took the album title from a short story by Ukrainian-born Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector, inspired by both its stream of consciousness style and the way it prompts reflection on the inner mechanisms of people's minds. It begs the question of why they do the things that they do, even when they can seem counterintuitive to the outsider. There's an inner flow to every individual - a stream of life.

The albums central theme is ownership of our own decisions, actions and choices with an element of youthful defiance.
Welcome to NeX GEn…the wait is finally over.
NeX GEn is the latest chapter in the series to be revealed and sees the band expanding both musically and conceptually. Following on from 2020’s POST HUMAN: Survival Horror – NeX GEn hits heavy, whilst frontman Oli’s vocals are his most melodic to date. There is so much to unwrap across this 16-track album that incudes previous singles ‘LosT’, ‘DArkSide’, ‘Kool-Aid’ and ‘DiE4u’. “It's a real concept album, with a full narrative that connects to the first record, but the concept is hidden and buried,” he says. “Some people aren’t going to be interested, but for some people it could be like a self-help book. There’s a lot of things in there, some of it’s quite clear, but a lot of it cryptic and hidden. People are gonna have to work it out.” The album is available as a 2LP Black Vinyl in a 5mm Spine, housed in 100% recycled card and a double-sided insert.
Dance, No One's Watching is an ode to the sacred, yet joyous act of dancing, an album that musically guides you through a night out in the city, from the opening of possibilities as a new evening spans out ahead, to dawn’s final hours as the night comes to a close. Written during a blistering 2023 which saw Ezra Collective tour the world and become the first jazz act to win the Mercury Prize, Dance, No One's Watching is a documentation of the many dance floors they encountered.
An '80s vibe finds new life in the form of multi-talented musician Sam Millar's debut solo record. Titled "Virtual Summer," it's 14 slabs of the slickest sounds this side of a hot pink Mustang with the top down and the stereo way, way up. Millar has played and toured as a guitarist for years in other bands, but it wasn't until the pandemic that his love of the sunny-side-up sparked the idea to try his own hand at that perfect balance of catchy choruses and timeless melody.
JD McPherson has created something unique and amazing with his latest album, Nite Owls. His first album release since 2018’s critically acclaimed Christmas classic, SOCKS. Over the past 5+ years, McPherson has stayed consistently busy writing new songs while at the same time touring with Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. Being a touring musician offers the chance to see the sights, tour the town and pick up some inspiration from the local record shop. With Nite Owls, JD wanted to try something new and different. He wanted to take the inspiration from multiple decades and styles and incorporate them into his own sound. “The initial idea for the record was: It’s like if The late-60s Ventures were the session band on the first New Order record.” Says, McPherson. Idea achieved. Nite Owls delivers the signature sounds of vintage garage-rock while also seamlessly bridging the sounds of Bowie and Alan Vega. Songs such as “Sunshine Getaway”, “The Rock and Roll Girls” and “I Can’t Go Anywhere with You” sound like Chuck Berry is jamming with Buddy Holly. While songs like “Nite Owls” and “Don’t Travel Through the Night Alone” give a nod to the Factory sound from the UK. The throwback sound of the lone instrumental track “The Phantom Lover of New Rochelle” would make Dick Dale ride and Link Wray rumble. With Nite Owls, McPherson takes inspiration from multiple genres of the past and combines them together to evolve a sound that is all his own.

The tone of his music is usually gentle, but there's an insistence and clarity in his lyrics that gives his performances a strength alongside it's newfound indie rock edge. Although he began his solo career in the early 2010s, he gained popularity as a writer and collaborator during the latter part of the decade, working on projects with Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers, the latter of whom helped produce Hutson's Anti- debut, Beginners, in 2020.
